Cemetery plot, burial arrangements and any questions regarding maintenance of the cemetery, permissions and rules, or location of graves should be directed to Marian T. McLaughlin, the Village Clerk/Cemetery Sexton, in order to obtain the most current and accurate information. Accuracy content of information obtained from other sources and/or websites, not maintained by the Village of Romeo, should be used with discretion. We suggest you contact us first with any questions you may have and we will be happy to assist you.






GENERAL RULES ORDINANCE NO. 431


1. Vehicles must remain on drive.
2. No alcoholic beverages on premises.
3. Hours - dawn to dusk.





CARE OF LOTS


1. No planting of shrubbery, plants, or placement of benches, except by permission of the Village Clerk /Cemetery Sexton

allowed with out prior approval.


2. The Village of Romeo will not be responsible for any type of vandalism.


3. The Village Clerk or Grounds Supervisor has the authority to remove any herbage or other paraphernalia
that may be unsightly, dangerous or diseased.


4. Flowers must be planted only in front of monuments - within 1 ft. only.


5. No glass containers may be used to hold cut flowers.


6. Grave blankets may be used from November 20th to March 20th.


The Cemetery roads are not to be used for through traffic.

**Effective July 1, 2006 the Romeo Cemetery Board resolved that the sale or transfer of lots in the Village of Romeo Cemetery will only be permitted to Village of Romeo resident's for their use or that of their immediate family, which is defined as: spouse, children, mother, father, grandparents, grandchildren, sister, brother, step-children, step parents.
